About

Give Courage

Dignity stems from the courage to be authentically ourselves, leading by example in both our actions and our beliefs. This ethos extends into our jewelry at Ryan Jewelry, where craftsmanship is more than an art—it's a remedy to the pandemic of self-doubt that pervades our daily lives. Founder, Myles Ryan, embarked on this journey with the conviction that well-crafted jewelry could counteract the assault on our self-worth, prevalent in ourselves and those around us. The burden of comparison and unrealistic expectations weighs heavily upon us, but we believe that jewelry, when made intentionally and inspired by clear sources, can empower us to embrace our best selves. It's not just about adornment; it's about strengthening our inner resolve and fostering a sense of dignity in every wearer.

About Myles

Inspired Artisan MYLES RYAN loves to create. As a boy his godmother would let him free on the jewelry bench to create his dreams. With her careful help he made rings, necklaces, and best of all a small copper sword which could be unclipped from a silver chain.

Myles’ artistic journey led him to the little known performing art Eurythmy, which uses movement to paint the pictures in poetry and sing the melodies of music. As a Eurythmy performer, Myles went to Switzerland where he discovered the art of repoussé, a mostly lost metal art which uses a hammer and punches to create forms in metal. This was not all, from design to completion the jewelry he learned to make was intended to give strength to the wearer and support them as an individual.

After his training Myles apprenticed in a workshop in Texas with Master Goldsmith and Designer Zoltan David, putting in hours of bench time and gaining experience doing precious metal inlay.

As a young man Myles experimented with graffiti, sculpting, and painting in search of the right medium. He even worked with a swordsmith to create a Katana (Japanese samurai sword).

Understanding that his skills were not complete, Myles continued his studies at GIA to become a Gemologist and Jeweler. Here he became familiar with the finest modern designers and studied the most amazing jewelry creations from the past.

Myles’ next job doing on the spot design for award winning designer Michael Endlich, the owner of Pavé Fine Jewelry has honed his skills of transforming technical sketches into beautiful renderings. With Michael as a teacher Myles learned to navigate the world of gem shows to find the treasures hiding among the treasures.

Today Myles meticulously creates his own jewelry while also doing fine hand engraving and vintage jewelry recreation. Myles uses his diverse skills and experience to create jewelry with a combination of timeless ancient flavor blended with a fresh modern take and perspective.
